Why SHIN JARDBO Raw Silk Travel Towel?
Lightweight & compact → Our STANDARD towel (130cm X 70cm / 51” X 27.5”) folds to the size of a medium thick pocketbook but only weighs 140g. It saves a lot of packing space & weight.
Quick drying → Our raw silk towel dries approximately five times faster than an ordinary cotton towel and dries faster than other natural materials such as linen or wool. After a machine wash, it dries in 60-75 min indoors and 30-45 min outdoors (could vary depending on conditions).
Absorbent → The towel effectively dries off your wet or sweaty skin thanks to the hydrophilic properties of raw silk, along with its nubby texture. It absorbs 300% of its own weight in water and using & washing further enhances this property.
Essential design → The towel is functionally sized for its use yet not oversized. The care label is printed on the towel, and the hanger loop is made longer than usual for ease of use.
Raw Silk Features:
Skin friendly → Raw silk has a unique soft and nubby texture. Our towel is completely free from toxins, and both the fabric production and dying are OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified. With the hypoallergenic properties of raw silk, the towel does not irritate sensitive skin and might be the most agreeable travel towel for people with dry skin, eczema, or other allergies. Thanks to the silk protein Sericin, the towel can even provide a softening and moisturizing effect on the skin.
Antibacterial → Raw silk is antibacterial by nature. This makes the towel resistant to dust mites, mold, and fungus. The towel stays fresh and odor free for longer, thus less washing is required. It offers convenience when travelling and reduces time, energy, and water consumption in everyday life.
Durable → Silk fibre is the longest and one of the strongest natural fibres. Raw silk is a lot more durable than cotton and lasts longer. If you take proper care of it and follow the care instructions, it will accompany you on many adventures.
Planet friendly → Raw silk is completely natural and non-toxic. No harmful substances are released during production. The process is water and energy saving. Raw silk is made from the leftovers in ordinary silk production, and thus contributes to zero-waste production. The towel does not release microplastics into our oceans when used and washed and biodegrades seamlessly back into nature after its useful life.
